Actually one can still tell them apart because in that case Opera claims to be both IE and Opera. It's a funny story actually, because due to historic reasons all IE versions pretend to be Netscape! No joke. So in that case Opera pretends to be an IE that pretends to be a Netscape browser, which looks like this: "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; en) Opera 8.50" "Mozilla" was the internal name of the Netscape Navigator. Notice the "Opera 8.50" at the end. It's a mess, really. > This discussion has stimulated me to have a look at Opera (v. 7.4) 7.4 is still pretty old. Just get the free 9.01 from www.opera.com, it's not even a big download. One more example of a nice feature this has: if an ad is especially annoying on a page, just right click the page, select "Block content..." and select the ad. The press the "done" button and it is gone. Forever. > Finally, I have a problem for you Opera experts. There should also be a bookmark panel, but I never use that. Marcel _______________________________________________ QL-Users Mailing List http://www.q-v-d.demon.co.uk/smsqe.htm
