I did look at Wikipedia. But I just consider it a "somewhat" reliable source and in those cases I still always fact check with other sources. And Wikipedia is pretty much the only source having this claim. For me eye dominance is something I have to watch out for when I play pool or snooker, but that is mostly because the point of focus is much nearer and I've to aim with the precision of a fraction of a degree. All in all I don't really think there's any difference in safety between the left and right side, people can get used to both.
