Replying to above and having not seen any of thge source code of
basic reporter My guess is that Dilwyn is using peeks and pokes via the syatem
variables to find the free memory. In the curen version of Turbo Toolkit there
is a function PC_FREEMEM which gives a portable method
of finding the free memory over all versions of QDOS or SMSQ/E.
