For Norman,

When trying to understand the Qubide code you might look into an old
problem I have with using DBAS.
With Suqcess, all database mutations are immediately stored on the device
but I found that after making a lot of changes, DBAS/Qubide lose track of
where they are and the _dbs will become corrupted.
Also the Import command can't create a new dbs with the field lengths set
individually.
These problems don't exist when using a ram or flp device or a QXL.win
with QPC2 or QXL so Qubide seems the likely candidate.
The Trashcan option also seems to be not save. At one time after using the
Trashcan_obj, some files which were not in the can were wiped from the
drive, dir showed they were there but the file itself was empty.
I had to reformat the drive and restore from a backup (trashcan off of
course).

Have fun,
Bob Spelten
