1. Is it a registered multi-discover (in case it's an option not 
available on the theoretically freeware Discovers which you still have 
to register at no charge to get full functionality)

2. Is the CD a PC CD or a QXL.WIN CD?

3. The Qubide has to be a recent version, able to read "alien" disks. 
The facility to read DOS formatted cartridges was introduced in v1.53 
but I don't know if CD-ROM access was also introduced at that version 
or later (V2.00 ROMs needed upgrade of 2 GAL chips on the Qubide, 
don't know exactly what the changes to those chips did to the Qubide).

4. Might be worth checking if Thierry's ATAPI drivers will let you 
access IDE CD drives on Qubide, though you might need programs like 
QCDEZE or QXLWIN to fully use it.

Dave Walker does lurk on this list, hopefully he'll pop up with an 
answer specific to Discover.
