What if you only boot with 3 things: qpac2, qlib_runtime (if not
linked in) and then try to start the _obj?
Otherwise I cannot even begin to imagine why it shouldn't work for
you. I checked different scenarios myself with the files I send you
and I even re-checked the code, there shouldn't be any timing issue or
anything like that.

Perhaps one more thing. While the test program is still running enter
print home_file$(jobid('<jobname'>))
and see what you get. Other than that, I have not the slightest clue
what's going on.
