Hi Rich, forgive me, I've been to the dentist hygienist and im still in

Indeed you do, you supplied QL B when my GC was giving me trouble. At
the
time the microdrives we working'ish. You also supplied the power supply
which i
use daily.

>>As Tony stated, if a QL works with the Trump Card it should work with
the

I removed my 68008's on several occasions, so many occasions in fact
that
the 68008 in QL B is now dead, so QL B has no 68008 at all but I
currently
have the GC in it so......

SMSQ/e not installed.

Maybe it doesn't like the fact that the 3.5" discs im using ( which are
HD) are
already formatted as HD. Still, the noises happen when i FORMAT
MDV1_workforme

>>You state that you have 2 QLs - one with working microdrives, one
without.
Correct

You are correct again, SGC worked flawlessly for Tony which is good but
frustrating
for me. The SGC in the QL's give slightly diferent screens but
generaly, as described.
The wierd thing is that behing the crash, i can just about make out the
SUPER GOLD
CARD message that states the Version and Miracle systems text.

>>Then you mention the Gold Card.
The gold card works great in QL B but not in QL A, can't remember the
symptoms
now, and anyway, the SGC is my priority.

GC.
Correct
>>QL B - Non-working microdrives. Supports Trump Card and Gold Card,
but

Spot on

plugged in

For SGC, Mostly black and white blocky screen with the remanants of the
SGC
boot up text. as mentioned GC not important
>>What happens with QL B when SGC is plugged in? Is this the same as
on QL
>>A?
Similar to QL A but with bits of the multicolours you usually get with
a QL bootup
matted amonst the black and white blocky screen, same remanants of the
SGC
boot text.

It may be worth a trip to Argos for a voltmeter. I have tried with both
PSU's in
the past but as im determined with the QL ( & SGC ) a voltmeter may be
a good idea

They mostly don't work, occasionally do but generally don't.

>>Rich
I know this will be sorted, Will post SGC & QL to you soon unless I go
down the
Sandhurst route which is less likely.
