Entering supervisor is not enough: you also need to disable interrupt 2 on non-Minerva QL, which Jan wanted to avoid to have his interrupt routine called. If he can do without his interrupt routine, then it is easisly feasible. You can't use most TRAPs, but a few still seem to work, like the TRAP#1 used to communicate to the IPC (D0=$11), useful to be able to directly read keyboard status.
