After 3 attempts (connection seems to drop out without apparent reason first 2 times I tried) I finally got an article up on this new QL site.
It's about QL CD-ROMs - info about using and setting them up along with a short list of those I know of. Once I know I've done it correctly (i.e. nobody tells me I screwed up) I might put up some more articles. Creating something online is a bit sluggish over dialup, it's probably going to be better for those on broadband. I found it best to copy and paste text into it and just add titles to sections etc by hand afterward. It's well worth printing out the Quick Edit Help which shows you how to use one two or three ! symbols to create titles etc (it sets up links to these 'sections' for people to use to navigate to). You can set up your own link, but I'm not sure if I set this up right. In theory, it's possible to include pictures but I've not yet got this working. There's scope here for someone to write a quick and simple guide to creating pages on this system...I can already hear QL Today and Quanta editors scrambling to sign up an author! -- Dilwyn Jones _______________________________________________ QL-Users Mailing List http://www.q-v-d.demon.co.uk/smsqe.htm
