Hi Chaps

I currently run SMSQ/E 3.12 on my Aurora and I'm more than happy with
it although Id like to use it
more than time allows however one thing id love to be able to control
is the screen resolution which
for smsq/e via menuconfig is currently set to 1024*512. This of course
is fine for pointer env programs
as i can move windows around etc but i would love to be able to toggle
back to the QL's native resolution
on the fly for certain programs.

I suspect this is not possible on the fly and so onto the next idea,
and question. I suspect I could make
do with a modification to my boot program which allows me to select a
valid resolution to startup with.
this can then do one of the following.

1) inefficient..... call a copy of SMSQ/E ( smsq_gold in my case) with
it's config block already set the same
as the required resolution...... ineficient due to having more than one
copy of smsq_gold on disk.

2) better, but is this possible. can the config block be tapped into
for smsq_gold v3.12 by an sbasic or
other language program prior to SMSQ_gold being called.... thus
allowing one copy of smsq_gold.

id guess this has probably been tackled before over the years but id
like to keep my HD as free as possible.

cheers

Neil
