Eddy Yeung wrote the assembler for the Thor 21. The Thor 21 had a
68020 chip with floating point co-processer. After using this
assembler for a while I detected an error in the FP instructions. I
reported this and received a correction. Later on I discovered a
second fault. I reported this too, but was told that Eddy had gone
abroad to some exotic place (Cyprus?) and could not or would not make
the necessary correction. I was also told that the source code could
not be divulged.

Later on I tried to use the Assembler Workbench but, even after
hacking out the requirement to "load the original microdrive" before
the program would start, I found it not too easy to use. Anyway, it
does not cope with FP instructions or 68020+ instructions.

It was that experience which led me to write GWASS, But only after
taking a VERY BIG BREATH.

I gave up using Workbench years ago but I might just have a copy
somewhere - perhaps on a 5 1/4 inch floppy. I'll have a look and
report back.
