Dear Bill, (off topic) A few days ago I bought a brand new Packard Bell PC from a local computer shop. When I switched it on I just realized that it did not boot up. Before spending hours with the support service I carefully checked that it was possible to open it without loosing the warranty. I immediately discovered that the HD power cable was disconnected.

Remembered my wifes laptop runs on XP so I could have used it. bigger downturn was when I realised the most recent backups to my Christmas card list are on the hard drive of my old computer that I gave to my son which he managed to make very dead. Best backup I have is 04 on Floppy, I bought a USB floppy drive early this year ( this PC and Wifes Laptop have no floppy) - good purchase I think.
