Well, of course it's running code without any pause! The only alternative would be to artificially slow down the CPU emulation (which, as said, is done when SMSQ/E is idle. But when you actively interact with QPC, you probably want the CPU to be as responsive as possible, don't you?). The behaviour you describe is EXACTLY as it's supposed to work. By design.
