You are part of the sombre news, although you are not leaving the QL
community. There will be a tribute to and a potted history of TF Services.

Another is John Mason's last Quanta Magazine editorial that members have not
responded to Quanta's pleas for new committee members. (Should there now be
better news, please let us know Quanta committee.) There are also one or two
more minor stories that are a bit negative.

What I am a little concerned about is that we could recreate some of the
atmosphere in the first half of the 1990s when DJ Software closed down
followed a year later by QL World. The screams that we heard then "The end
of the QL is nigh" were more than a little premature.

In fact there is still a lot happening on the QL scene and we need to
publicise this. It's just that we need to be flexible in thinking of the
future, just as we had to be flexible to survive the early 90s.

Fully understood. In fact we have spoken about this situation many times at
shows. Your contribution has been much appreciated and has been far wider
that just TF Services,

Best Wishes,
