Hello

I was interested to find out today, that our Text Adventure game has been
converted to disk and is still available on the Internet. I only just had my
interest rekindled today-when my friend Jaspar Taylor, made a surprise visit,
after several years and mentioned that he had heard that some of the QL
software had been made availble again.

I had forgotten all about it, after all these years, after interest faded and
after we had sold about 150 games wordlwide, producing it under 'Javid Systems'
and it took us 2 years to develope-, even after Sinclair went into liquidation
during the last 6 months

In the review by Richard Mellor- it was mentioned there was a bug regarding not
being mentioned that you had to type your commands in CAPSLOCK, but in the
instructions we included in the pack, on the last inside page, we advised that
COMMANDS should be typed in captals and some of the examples shown, iunder
'COMMANDS', were all in capitals. Also you only needed to type in the first 4
letters of a command to get the instruction to work.

We developed our interest in the Text Adventures, after playing ZSkul, written
by Talent and while not exactly copying their ideas, we developed our game
along similar lines. We felt we included some enhancements to make the game
more interesting, by having the characters able to say things and converse with
the player-rather than just have lines like 'A Dwarf enters'.

Also as an added bit of humour, when you fired your space gun-an arrow raced
across the screen, with a sound effect added. Also, our characters were able
to carry things on your behalf and also take independent actions and we had a
lot more commands to fit certain situations. For example if a scene said 'You
can see a pile of rocks' then typing in 'CLIMB rocks you got a result. Also if
you found a hyperdermic syringe, you could type in INJECT syringe etc.

If the current suppliers want, I can write a Walk Through' for the game, as I
don't think anyone ever finished it.
