You can configure SMSQ/E. The second config block concerns WMAN. There
is one item to be configured:
move window operation
This has three possibilities:
Outline Window Sprite
I find that with SMSQ/E v3.13 that the outline version has an error in
it - at least on a Q60. When you first push down the mouse button on
the move icon the window is replaced by its outline which can be
dragged over the screen. When the mouse button is released, eventually
the window replaces the outline at its new position. Unfortunately,
before that happens, the outline can be mirrored in a different
position towards the top of the screen. These outlines, of course,
disappear when the actual window replaces them. I have even seen the
mirrored outline being in fact two rectangles, each thinner than the
original and both at the same height.
Has anyone else noticed this?
I have noticed this because I was trying out the three options on a
Q60. I remember in the past experimenting and came to the conclusion
that the Sprite option was the best. I am fairly certain that, in the
past, I chose the different options by an S*BASIC keyword. I can't
find anywhere a definition of such, so I had to do the experiment this
time by configuring SMSQ/E and rebooting.
Can anyone remember what the keyword is?
And has anyone else experienced the peculiarity that I have described?
George
Hi George,
I use "dragable windows" with SMSQ/E by a command in one of my sequence
of "boot" files :
150 REM Set dragable windows in SMQE/E
160 WM_MOVEMODE 2
Would this be the action that you are describing ?
