The Gadget Show on Channel 5 have asked if we have a Type 1 Sinclair
Executive Calculator to lend them (presumably they want a working one)

Does anyone have one going spare? They need one by 15th September at the
latest!

I saw one in the Science Museum London recently.

Bletchley park also have one on display.

Darren.
Two possibilities spring to mind:

(1) http://www.computinghistory.org.uk/ The centre for computing history. Dan Abbott (Quanta webmaster) told me about this a while back. It's a small, charitable organisation IIRC. They do have a"vintage computer hire service" and I know they have a good collection of early calculators, including some Sinclair ones.

(2) Enrico Tedeschi (not sure if spelled correctly) in Brighton or Hove (I think Roy Wood might know him, he came to one of the QL workshops down there) had a Sinclair museum and published books about early Sinclair products. The last website address I had for him is no longer working and I can't find my copy of his Sinclair book. Perhaps if Roy is lurking here, he might put you in contact if Enrico is still around?

The only information I have on Enrico is from this page: http://s206301103.websitehome.co.uk/biog.htm which has some contact details for him.
