Sir Clive Sinclair did it again! (X-1)
I have to agree, he's invented a poor excuse for a bike and managed to
get it to fit inside an egg shell.

Surprise, surprise! Check this out!

That looks quite dangerous actually. No lights or mirrors so what use is it on the road, shame the Video didn't show the poor driver trying to change from one lane into another, or perhaps that bit was edited out, including the Ambulance ride to A&E.

Now, the folding bike looks better but I'm guessing it'd take just the one decent sized pot
hole to throw the rider. Back to the drawing board Sir Clive
Everyone seemed to expect Sir Clive's electrified efforts to travel on public roads.

As far as I was concerned that was always the wrong market - This X-1 seems to be more something that would be used on promenades and caravan sites and so on, i.e. the kind of thing you'd hire for travelling around sites where there's much less motorised traffic, or where there are dedicated cycle tracks. Even so, I'd still expect it to have the warning lights etc. (says he as someone who ran into the back of a car which stopped suddenly with no working brake lights many years ago)

It was always the case that the C5 and some of his other small wheel devices wouldn't have worked around here because the pot holes are bigger than the wheels!

While the idea of 'green' transport is laudable, half the time it hasn't been thought through well enough (although we are at last making progress). Providing cycle lanes for example is great, until you realise the overall width of the road often remains the same and buses and large lorries end up straddling the cycle lane. Or the cycle lanes are only marginally wider than the ironworks (drains) on the road edge, so the cyclists have to swing out into traffic to avoid them.
