Hi all,
I have here a Sandy SuperDisk interface which works fine. The board
however has several (3) missing chips and a missing 9 pin socket, I know
from the manual, that this can be upgraded to a SuperQBoard, by fitting
the missing chips and the 9 pin mouse socket.
What I don't know is what the missing chips should be ? So does anyone
have a schematic, or failing that a good picture of the circuit board so
that I can see what the missing components are.
Also the SuperDisk only comes with a basic set of disk commands, no
Toolkit II etc, so is there an image of the SuperQBoard's rom which does
have these as standard (since TK2 has been released as freeware anyways).
I have a drawing for the bus mouse conversion on Issue III boards.
Looking at the board with QL connector at top:
4k7 resistor added to left of top left chip - HEF4077(8 or B)P
4k7 resistor added to left of second chip up on left - 74HCT273
9D fitted to connector just by that.
1 - RB
2 - LB
3 - XB
4 - YA
5 - +5v
6 - YB
7 - XA
8 - NC
9 - GND
... and Atari mouse is:
1 - XB
2 - XA
3 - YA
4 - YB
5 - NC (or mid-button)
6 - LB
7 - +5v
8 - GND
9 - RB
..... and mouse version of ROM needed.
Which are the three missing chips? My diagram is a picture of the top
of the board, and no pcb markings are visible. All the chip labelling
though is visible and it is fully populated.
Tony
