most unices come with dd, which can be used to generate raw media images.
I know. :-) But the image itself then cannot be read unless you have a QDOS Filesystem driver installed either as a module or as a "fuser" system.
It's easy enough to duplicate a QDOS floppy using dd to an image. But you can't do anything with the image unless you have tools that can read it.
It would be nice(r) to be able to mount the image as a floppy disc (using loop device) and then access it as a "floppy". That's the state I'm attempting (when time permits) to get to.
At the moment, the image can be read by the ctools utility - at least, I think that's the correct name.
