I have just added a new program from Malcolm Lear to my website.

To quote from Malcolm’s email:

”Some time ago I worked on a system that stored QL headers in the the file
(appended at the end). It was developed to the point that my install of QPC ran
all my programs and pointer environment straight from the PC drive without a
QXL.win file. The problem of zipping was also solved.”

This software is called QPConDOS and as well as managing to store the
executable file headers on a DOS/Windows drive, it patches the QL procedures
and functions

EXEC, EXEC_W, EX, EW, EXEP, EX_M, ET, HOT_LOAD, HOT_CHP, HOT_CHP1, HOT_RES, and
HOT_RES1

to execute QL pograms from a DOS/Windows directory.

This software is a mere 12KB or so download from the File Handling programs
page on my website at http://www.dilwyn.me.uk/files/index.html
