So the old "offered for sale price" adage is a myth.
I once bought a JUKI 3 pass printer for a great price over the phone,
thought about it and phoned back to say I'd have it. got the same girl
who got a bit flustered when I confirmed the price, but she said as she
had stated that price they would stand by it.
Different era though
