I think it refers to the Maths Toolkit now available on my website

(the toolkit includes the assembler source if anyone wishes to
investigate).
The MATREAD command is for example completely incompatible with
SBASIC, it tries to call the original READ command, which is special
cased in SBASIC and not a normal command. Calling MATINV results in an
error and Sysmon chiming, which is never a good sign. No time to
investigate further.
