Gaming isn't my sphere but I noticed this locally and asked if QL will be represented, but Dave said sadly, no. I's just PC. I don't know anything about this community, obviously, but they seem to have these weekends all round the country. Perhaps the QL will come to their notice if youngsters/adults (it is over 18 entrance) get the QL easily on the R-pi as seems likely (hopefully).

It's a computer gaming weekend event. The atmosphere is relaxed and laid back where everyone is welcome. The events run over a weekend with the distance in mind that some attendee's travel. For example coming from: Ireland, Wales, York, Derby, Stoke, Liverpool and all over the Manchester area. The venue has a car park for those that drive. For those that don't literally 2 minutes on foot from the venue is a train station and bus route which some do use. 5 minutes on foot from the venue is: shops, supermarkets, takeaways, cafes, petrol stations, pubs and banks. Everything that is needed really. The venue has a grass area to the side that is used for a BBQ during an event if the weather is nice. Various genres of games are played to cover different tastes. From previous events I have had several sponsors. The venue has a stage area. As well as PC interest being covered, Gamebeast comes along as well to cover Consoles interest. Gamebeast being a truck trailor that has been specially kitted out with 4 system linked Consoles, 4 42" LED HD screens, 16 gaming headsets and 16 big comfy gaming chairs. Gamebeast will be attending the full event. For insurance and health and safety reasons with the venue it's open to 18 and above only. Please do ask anything you wish. I am more than happy to answer. I look forward to hopefully hearing from you real soon please. Kind Regards, David Wright. For more details see http://www.apachelans.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=2027.
