Hi all,
I have also been working on restoring a Thor XVI. This unit had a leaked batery which corroded the circuit board and some of the components. I have got it to where it boots and I can see there's text, but the video image is so distorted I cannot read what it says. This Thor has the 2MB RAM, two floppies and a Rodime HD of unknown size. If it ends up being unrepairable, I would be happy to part it out to get other Thors up and running.
I am also very interested in finding the following:
* A schematic for the Thor version that piggy-backed an 020 onto a BBQL (specifically the 020 mod) * JEDEC files/equations for any custom logic in any interface cards * a way to re-implement QL video in 32-bit wide RAM, and with an improved output format. I would very much like to produce a "QL Video Card" that makes the on-board video unnecessary, and then disable the onboard video (shame that IC does so much else) *broken Gold Cards/Super Gold Cards for spares/repair

Dave, I got to sort of wonder if that is a video format problem, USA video format vs Uk or European???
