John Mason was a long serving Quanta member, committee member and Chairman
who donated a lot of time and effort to Quanta, acknowledged by his becoming
an honorary member. Never reluctant to defend his corner, he saw through
reforms, edited some newsletters and worked hard for Quanta even if (as a
senior officer of any organisation would know) not everyone always agreed
100% with his views.
His local sub-group in Dorset was one of the longest running Quanta
sub-groups.
As John Gilpin said, we send our condolences to his wife and family.

Hi Everyone,
It is with great sadness that I have to advise you of the death of John
Mason shortly before Christmas.
John was QUANTA Chairman immediately prior to Sarah Gilpin, our present
Chairman. He was also a QUANTA Honorary Member.
John leaves a wife (Jane) and other family members to whom we have sent
our condolences.
He will be sadly missed
