Derek, Windows makes a lot of sense if you have the QXL PC connected to a network (I personally use OS/2 Warp on my QXL PC, much for the same reason.)
your "ASSIGN" tip works fine if you want more than one QXL drive. But this requires a DOS command, maybe not work in Windows.
