Hi,

The QXL 2 had a 25Mhz oscillator in it and the Altera Glue chip may of being rated at a different speed than the QXL, the video had been twekaed to add a XGA mode, not sure if this worked.

Other than that no difference.

I have a couple of QXLs in need of construction, the main problem is the lack of custom chips which have become obsolete and now very expensive.

The Altera Glue Chip is available, but needs special Altera Programming hardware to programme the chip. There is no source code to the Glue chip, so can not be migrated to modern progrogrammers.

Too many problems and an ISA based PC is required, now very hard to find.

Regards,

Derek
