When I asked about java I am aware of 2 versions or java on RPi,

As Marcos has pointed out, it seems to be faster with the Oracle JVM than with openjdk.
Wolfgang even at ~2.53 bogomips it is still useful, bit like a Goldcard running SMSQE.
