I use mine to make up for a deficiency in remembering stuff. I keep trying to learn new stuff, so the older stuff "ages out of the cache"!

It's handy for me to have a blog as I can (usually) access it from whichever contract I'm working on at the time, so I have my notes with me. As ever though, you end up using it for many things other than work.
