If a 310% speed factor (dhrystone-wise) or 520% (bogomips-wise) under
QDOS/SMSQ is *not* enough advantage for a QL style machine:
Better spend your money for the very good highend Gigaherz Windows machine!!!
Let your harddisk rattle though Mega (soon Giga?) bytes of bloatware before
you can finally start your QL emulation. And deal with all the other
Windows fun ;-)
If the vast majority of QL users have a similar feeling about
cost/performance of Windows machines versus Q40 or Q60 this will have one
big advantage:
I will no longer lose my money and sparetime for QL style hardware!!! If
you find the Windows PC the better investment, you can save me a lot of work!
