Ahhh where can I start and where can I finish really..
In a small town like the one I'm in, cable companies tend to think YOU 
GOTTA HAVE em....
Customer support sucks BIG TIME, Outages ALL THE TIME, no accountability on 
problems whatsoever, and of course shared bandwidth that from the 
advertised 1Mbit/128Kbit line speed gave me 10 days ago the AMAZING speed 
of 14Kbytes DOWN / 16 Kbytes UP... Yep and for all this AMAZING speed I had 
to pay 49$ a month!
For the same price I get DSL and 1500 Mb/384Kb (max granted and I am far 
away from my Telephone company but at least speeds are consistent)
One note for any of you that gets xDSL in Europe (I believe they started 
offering it in Germany the UK and Greece). Try to avoid the PPPoE protocol 
if you can... gives too much overhead :-)
