Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the QXL.WIN partitions were created in 
order TT not to have to access the Int13H DOS calls for the QXL card.... 
IIRC QXL.WIN means QXL Winchester (hence WINx_) from the old days of the 
Miracle Systems' hard drive...  In that sense it is a quick hack UNLESS it 
just replicated the partition scheme found in the Miracle Systems hard 
drive (which means it pre-existed)... therefore the Hen laid the Egg and 
not the Egg the Hen :-)
