Hello,

> I'm wondering what TV or monitor to use ...

I believe (because the last I saw of it was in my parents' loft and
that was years ago) that I have the original Microvitec monitor I
bought to use with my QL. I've no idea what the cycles of
damp/cold/heat will have done to it up there - I suspect the
electrolytics would have copped the worst of it, just from the years of
not being powered up. I had thought I might be able to use it with the
Q40 if I could find/make a suitable cable but I'm not sure it is
compatible.

If I could find a way to prove it still works, you could have it, but I
don't think I've still got the cable for it. Anyway they've been
nagging me to get it out of their loft for ages... I'm pretty sure it
was kept in its box up there so cosmetically should be in good
condition but iirc there was a small crack on one corner of the case.

I also got two copies. I guess they thought it would be cheaper to
give everyone a spare set, than to deal with all the requests for
replacements!

for it to be Friday afternoon, yes. I can look out of the window in
this office and see people sitting outside the pub in the street below,
with the Sun shining - it's most demotivating ;)

Ian.
