My humble appologies if you have been hit by a viral attachment that
purported to come from me.
There was I feeling all smug as I read the recent thread on viruses -I have
never had the problem, until now.
My daughter received an email saying "Hi how are you, I sent you this letter
to ask for your advice. The attachment was called confirmation
letter.doc.pif and the silly girl opened it.

The first thing I knew was when my mailbox started filling up with returned
mail from people in the address book who have automatic virus
detection/bouncing filters.

It seems that it it is emailing at random; using names of threads it finds
within the mail system, always the same message, but the attachment seems to
change its name. e.g. writing my mind.doc.bat.

I had already cleared the earlier strand on viruses. How the hell do I get
rid of it?

Sorry again

Jeremy
