Hi Wolfgang,

>Has anybody tried to use Thierry's CDRom driver?

Yes.

>More specifically, has anybody got it to work with a QXL.WIN file?

Yes.

>I've got a Q60 now, and it would be SO nice to use a CDRom with

Interesting idea, although Thierry warns about the experimental state, and
not yet implemeted read error correction.

You can use an SMSQ/E QLWA filesystem image burnt directly on a CD-R.
Don't wonder, this is exactly the same filesystem as withing the QXL.WIN file.
To access it, issue SENTENV "QXL_FILE=cdrN_*QWA" and then use qxltool.

>Perhaps I didn't record the disk correctly. It SHOULD be in IS 9600
>format?

No. You should burn the QXL.WIN file directly as a raw image to CD.
ISO9660 is planned for later.

All the best

Peter
