Some were, I think the zmht wasn't. Most of the spectrum emulators came from Davide Santachiara's company Ergon Development in Italy. Spectator was by Dr Carlo Delhez (he of QL Ungif and Zxtricator ZX81 emulator fame) There is another Spectrum emulator by William James, don't remember its name. ZexCel from Ergon is freeware. >2.
