Certainly, 2.76 is from the middle ages ;-) I think the version
mentioned was the latest one before the arrival of the colour drivers,
probably something around 2.90.
However I suspect that this part of the code is the same as in your
version, it's just at a different location. A hex search for "13 fc 00
28 00 01 f7 20" might find the code.
BTW: On 2.98 almost all of the code changes, including the poll code.
