sorry to say, it reads like a joke for me. I would welcome if the MS related discussions on this list would stop - failing that I will not miss any opportunity to point out where MS products cause unneeded security hazards. Just as a reminder, thanks to great wisdom of MS we had already at least 2 viruses or worms distributed on this list.. I thought this was really obvoius but never mind. To all those who think that MS did invent email, the web and internet - it wasn't MS. No, it wasn't even Al Gore! Some of you may remember that MS didn't even offer any builtin TCP/IP capabilities in its OS before Win95 and NT was launched. Others had practicable working solutions years, some even decades earlier. It may be surprising for some but the QL actually had working email/news programs for maus and fido -nets long before MS - and at that time maus/fidonet provided good interoperation with the internet.
