The zx-81 power supply has a 3.5 jack plug the ones used by mono headphones. The spectrum power supply has a different plug i don't know the name of these they are round and have a hole in the middle.You cant plug them into a zx-81.
To cut things short if the plug fits the zx-81 its a zx-81 power supply otherwise its one for the spectrum
Aha!! That explains it - I have the Spectrum one then as mine has a hole in the middle of the plug - many thanks for clarifying it.
BUT the question remains, does anyone have just the ZX81 power supply for sale?? John Taylor has offered a full ZX81 package, but this seems a bit of overkill as my customer has everything bar a working power supply.
