Probably what Jonathan Hudson refers to in his manuals as "the QDOS official secrets act" You often find that for these things there often exists no "formal" documentation, but they do crop up in passing in other documentation. If you do find out about this, it's yet more to add to the QL Documentation CD. I've found in the past that you can get useful little tidbits of information from things like Easyptr manuals and C documentation (I don't do C but the manuals are often useful and informative). Sources from people like Jonathan Hudson are very useful in this respect where I can understand them. I'm content to set up a loose item with event code 7 to allow programs to be put into the button frame by the system - why do you want to code the equivalent of button_sleep yourself? Are you writing something to zap random programs into button frame for a QL virus or something??? -- Dilwyn Jones [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.soft.net.uk/dj/index.html
