Hello all,

I've been exchanging emails with Thomas at Sintech on the subject of his planned production of keyboard membranes recently, with very encouraging results.

I believe he has a sample already on it's way to him so he can make a judgement on the likely time involved to produce them, etc.

He also wants a general idea of how many he should budget for producing so he can work out if it will be economical. With this in mind, and as we seem to be onto a real possibility here, if you are at all interested in seeing a source of membranes established in the reasonable future, *please* register your interest and requirements (current or potential) either:

a) With Thomas directly,
b) Via the guestbook Rich has provided at RWAP Software, or
c) to me directly and I'll collect numbers together and forward them to Thomas ASAP and as regularly thereafter as necessary.

I have the impression that he may produce small (but expensive) quantities if demand is sufficient, but they would not be economical unless a run of several hundred could be produced at once.

On a similar note, does the replacement 'non-intrusive' keyboard discussed here use the existing membrane, a custom one, or something different entirely? If it's a custom one, could the quantity of membranes we can register interest for be increased to accomodate the needs of this product? I believe both are valuable to QL users, could happily co-exist, and we could secure the production of both products at reasonable cost if the parts are similar.

Callum
