I have tried up to a Maxtor DiamondMax 20 Gig with it (but using v. 2.01 rom/Gals) without a hitch (apart from it taking about 3 quarters of a century to format).... The 1.56 ROM didn't quite work right (can't remember why right now and can't test it either as both my QubIDE's are at Nasta's ) but the 2.01 v. is a class on its own... BTW: if anyone didn't see the reference on a previous message, using the QubIDE v.2 support disk on a Q40 with QDOS Classic correctly identifies BOTH the Q40 and the drives ( a LOT better and faster-apart from the format- than the native SMSQ/E driver/partitioning software). Speaking of QubIDE, does anyone have an email address (apart from the one listed in his website) that Phil Borman DOES read? (I've sent him a couple of emails on that address and no reply ever came...)... If anyone has his address, please relay it to me on a private email :-) Thanks, Phoebus
