Well we were talking about the "English" Language (;-)
Our regional dialect owes much to the Vickings, many of our commonly
used ( Geordie ) words have scandinavian equivalents, can't recall with
accuracy of the top of my head but maybe Gannin ( Going ) and Hyame (
Home ) are two, no doubt someone will confirm or deny.
