Hello, I know it's not really on-topic, but it's close, and any information you may be able to pass along would be appreciated.
I received an email from a gentleman who owns a TS-2068 that has developed a fault; when the machine is powered up, the copyright message is displayed, but the keyboard is locked, and a red square is displayed in the message area. I suggested trying a few possibilities to try and isolate the problem, none of which seemed to solve it, so I believe it is possible to (initially) rule out: Faulty ROM: Removed, pins cleaned, reseated. Faulty Keyboard: Removed keyboard, tried another, cleaned contacts, replaced original one. Faulty video output: Same on TV & RGB. The memory is soldered in, so couldn't be easily tested, as is the SCLD - I believe this is the culprit. Since some of you may be familiar with the inner workings of the machine, I thought I'd pass this along in case you could offer any help or suggest any further troubleshooting tips.
