The best thing to do is just go ahead and organise a Workshop. You will get people attending, particularly if there has not been anything in your area of the country for quite a while. Make sure you checkout when other events are going on - both in England and elsewhere in the world - and arrange a date when most traders can be in attendance. You can apply to Quanta for some subsidy towards the cost of the hall hire. Quanta itself will be represented. You should aim to break even on refreshments, or maybe a small surplus. Your members should provide their time for free. Also try to have a bring and buy sale of second hand goods. This could also cover some of your Groups costs and again maybe give you some income. > Another question is would QL mind if the show was opened up to other >non-Wintel platforms? Talks and presentations are useful if you can get any takers ... they create an interest to attend. Good luck ! -- Malcolm Cadman
