As to using TurboPtr instead of QPTR: My problem is that I have several program suites. One runs to about 10000 lines (and I mean lines and no line numbers...), the other to about 5000 lines. Added to this comes a certain number of anicllary programs. Changing the programs now to use the TurboPtr toolkit rather that Qptr is not, in my mind, a realistic proposition -espacially as Turbo can't handle vector $120. For me, this is really a hindrance. As an example, I have at least two assembler toolkits of a total of 17000 bytes (compiled) - I don't really know how many assembler lines that makes. At least some fo the commands se vector $120 - this is an easy way of returning several values tro Sbasic by one command. Perhaps it would be easier to amend SMSQ/E in such a way that, for Turbo programs, some special form of vector $120 is used. I've submited this idea to George - let's see what he thinks of the feasbility of htis. This would lift THE major obstacle to using Turbo (for me, at least!) As for the array, yes George has sent me a program that does handle this! But "only" in Turbo... and as explained above this is not yet an option, unfortunately. I do find George's Interest and solutions for this problem very heartwarming, though -isn't it great how people in the QL community try to help each other out?
