The SMSQ/E driver is DV3, I don't think it can easily be turned into a normal ROM (I'm far from being an expert here, though). One option could be to make a stripped down SMSQ/E version that does nothing but to boot the real thing. Leaving out the screen driver etc it might fit into the original ROM space. Down side is that then there is no QL eprom waiting for fixing boot problems and the like. Marcel
