IMHO they should be disabled, or more properly, IT should be disabled as there is only one on the SGC. Although, with the SGC it's more than a bit strange that this problem should occur, as we are after all talking only about a code cache (not data). I can't think of a way for code that was previously executed to be replaced and re-executed (which would make the cache entries wrong), especially at ROM init time.
