Hmm.... again! Well, I could certainly use one - my QL is currently broken in the back of the wardrobe and I'm stuck with this all singing all dancing IBM compatible (don't here that phrase much anymore<grin>) that has spare capacity to run some proper programs. Does anyone know if it will run TK2/Lightning(!)/'Turbo' stuff such as DP's 'Professional Astrologer'? I quite miss that; don't seem to know where I'm going what I'm doing with the Windoze thing yet. Thanks for all the feedback, Dave Isaacs 1986 on QL'er
Hi Dave,
Lightining is not needed with QPC1 (QPC1 runs SMSQ/E which is faster than the regular QDOS Driver - IIRC QPC1's driver is even faster as it is written in pure x86 assembly - Correct me if I am wrong Marcel ;-) ). Professional Astrologer runs fine and so do most of the DP programs if you don't use very deep pathnames. (just tested it on QPC 1 although It was a pain to find a machine to put it in ;-)
For good measure I can send you also soQL-PPP to grab your email using QPC1
Turbo exists and it's in version 4.20 now and freeware as well
ALl the best,
